Beginning with the current CBA, players who reach 160 games will get a pension of the maximum allowable under US law (currently $45,000 USD/yr). Players who play fewer than 160 games, will reach the maximum allowable under Canadian law (which is just under $33,000/yr CAD from what I've been told).
NHL pensions information. $33,000 more than you make Freddy. Don't worry Hawks looking after Theo quite well...

Oh and I thought the hawk's didn't do that type of thing...

For a washed up, out of shape, broke, former NHLer playing Sr Hockey, he's sure taking up a lot of space in peoples heads around here. Good for him, he's doing his thing, while guys like Hawke, Kazarian, Johnston et al are putting the numbers up. I'm from Port Elgin, and I don't have as much to say about the Winterhawks as their haters. Keep winning boys, while these guys keep talking.

LOL you failed to mention Roggie that.....The plan considers age 62 to be standard retirement age, but players may begin receiving retirement benefits as early as age 45 with reductions to reflect that they will receive them for a longer time.

I noticed the MacMillan brothers getting a picture at the end of the game. Is that a sign they are ending their careers?
