All series have been great so far. It's refreshing to see parity in the first round vs. the past yeas where it was mostly sweeps.
As much as the travel can suck it really seems like it was best for the league. I even didn't think it would be this good at the beginning. If you can make it out to your local arena I'd definitely recommend taking in a game! Well worth the price of admission.
That being said here are my picks.
Saugeen Mapleton Petrolia Tavistock
Can't wait to see how this weekend turns out!

I like Saugeen to close it out.
Mapleton-Minto gets it back at home but we should see 7 here.
Petrolia finishes off Ripley in the biggest mismatch of the first round.
Clinton has been great on the Friday games. They don't want this to go to a 3 game weekend as they roll way fewer skaters than Tavistock. Look for them to wrap it up Saturday.

Saugeen in overtime - Cats keep it close but the series ends in 5 Mapleton - I agree with most that this one will go 7 Petrolia - Also agree this is biggest mis-match of round 1. I thought Ripley would give more of a fight but that's not been the case Tavistock - Clinton falls short in this run and gun series because Tavis goaltending. Tavi in overtime Friday and they wrap it up at home Saturday.

Saugeen will have close to a full lineup for the first time in this series....Hawke, J. MacDermid etc. I suspect that will help them immensely.
Mapleton Tillsonburg seems headed to Game 7, but wouldn't shock me if Tilly takes it in 6.
Ripley seems to dig themselves a hole right off the opening face off and you just can't keep doing that. Squires end it in 5.
Clinton - Tavi keep the home ice wins coming, it's going 7.

Saugeen wins in overtime, but not without a whole lot of shit after the game. Burt had a confrontation with Peckham in the handshake line, then got into it with a fan as he left the ice. Bloodied the guy up pretty good, too.
Petrolia 6-4 over Ripley, Squires are moving on.
Tillsonburg wins 4-0 and are headed home with a 3-2 series lead.
Clinton wins 4-1 and are up 3-2 heading to Tavi tomorrow.
