I would say that the biggest surprise this year would be the Ripley Wolves. I expected them to be at the bottom of the standings this year.

In the North the biggest surprises have to be Ripley sitting with the third best winning percentage behind only Elora & Palmerston, Durham's early season struggles, although I will hazard a guess that those are behind them, and it's going to be a 5 or 6 team race for the 4 AA playoff spots.
The other surprise in the North is Georgian Bay's futility. Even if they did lose the other day against Drayton because of the Referee, they are still 0-14 and averaging only 2 goals a game. From a franchise that had some decent success in the past, to being the bottom of the barrell, it's hard to fathom. Hopefully they can turn it around somewhat and take a shot at the playoffs.

I would have to say that the biggest surprises in the South come from Wingham and to a lesser extent in the past couple of weeks, Goderich. Both teams have played pretty solid and are in position to make some noise come playoff time.
It's also surprising that it looks like the 4 AA playoff spots in the South are already wrapped up. Lucan, Tavistock & Clinton are in pretty good shape, and Hensall looks like they can play .500 and basically coast into the playoffs, unless Wingham or Monkton can put forth a big challenge, or Milverton turns things around.
That has to be the biggest negative surprise in the south. Milverton sitting that far down the standings. There is some time for a turn around, but it's running out fast.

The other surprise in the North is Georgian Bay's futility. Even if they did lose the other day against Drayton because of the Referee Just a response to this. I think the only reason G-Bay was in the game was because of the refs calling everything in their favour. Also Drayton had an off game. Just defending the team. No worries. Other than that, back on topic. They are defineatly a surprise, i expected Drayton to be at the bottom. Both teams are a bit of a surprise a little bit I guess.
